A shipment of 200 fake Rolex watches coming from China to New York has been seized by US CBP. After inspection, the Centers of Excellence and Expertise, have determined that if these watches were to real, it "would have been worth more than $2.5 million, although the declared value was only $1."
Watches and Jewelry make up "15 percent of all" intellectual property rights (IPR) seizures and they "continue to top the list of all seized IPR materials."
Counterfeits pose a threat to the health of the US' economy and "funds criminal activities and organized crime."
